Every year, Choose Chicago, the City of Chicago's tourism and conventions bureau participates in the McCormick Place Holiday Showcase.
McCormick Place's Holiday Showcase is renowed as the Midwest’s largest event for association professionals/ industry partners with roughly 2000 attendees and 150 exhibitors during this 2-day event.
I had the opportunity for creative direction and production design for the City of Chicago's 2025 booth.
I took a lot of inspiration from handmade cut-out holiday decorations in this design- a heavy lean into the 2d contour, and playing with scale and proportion to create depth.
Inspired by festive textures, this design aimed to reach a feeling of both whimsy and sophistication. Used the cooler color pallets within Choose Chicago's brand guides as a primary, and accented the design with red elements.
